Sculptra

Sculptra

Sculptra is the first facial injectable that gives you a promising, yet natural-looking appearance over time. Made from poly-L-lactic acid, it helps replace lost collagen and correct facial wrinkles and folds caused by aging. The main ingredient in Sculptra is a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic material that has been used by physicians for decades, making it safe and reliable. Treatment consists of approximately three injection sessions over a few months and can last more than two years.

How does Sculptra differ from dermal fillers like Restylane and Juvederm?

Other dermal fillers, including Restylane and Juvederm are designed for immediate results, whereas Sculptra’s results emerge gradually, so you can reverse the signs of aging and return to a more youthful appearance, without anyone wondering if you’ve “had work done”.

What is Sculptra made of?

Sculptra Aesthetic is made of a synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid, which works to replace lost collagen. Poly-L-lactic acid is safe, absorbed naturally by the body and has been used for years in dissolvable stitches.

What is Sculptra used for?

Sculptra treats shallow wrinkles, as well as deep wrinkles and facial folds.

How long does Sculptra last?

Sculptra’s refined, youthful results last up to two years after your last treatment.

How soon can I expect results with Sculptra?

Because Sculptra targets the underlying causes of the signs of facial aging, results aren’t immediate. Instead, you’ll receive a series of injections – probably three – which will take place over the course of a few months. Some visible improvements can be seen within the first few weeks of treatment, but the Sculptra regimen is designed to deliver its unique effects over a few months, and last for up to two years. Because results happen gradually, you’ll see subtle yet noticeable results in the appearance of facial wrinkles and folds.

Is Sculptra FDA approved?

Sculptra has been safely used worldwide since 1999, with over 150,000 patients, under the trade names New-Fill™ and Sculptra. In 2009, the FDA granted approval in the U.S. for the correction of shallow to deep nasolabial fold (smile lines), contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles, which are treated with the appropriate injection technique in healthy people.

Before & After

Am I a Good Candidate for a QLift?

Good candidates have droopiness of the cheeks and jowls. Patients should not be too heavy or too thin, should be medically well and not be on blood-thinning medication. The best candidates have realistic expectations with the desire for a quick, risk-diminished lift effect without the scars, recovery, expense or risks of surgery associated with a more traditional facelift.
