The QLift Is the “New Face” of Facial Rejuvenation

For many, the thought of having to go under the knife is nerve-wracking at best, as is the thought of extended recovery time and a hefty price tag. The QLift can be a viable alternative to full-fledged surgery.

Aging, sun-damaged skin, and bad genetics are just a few factors driving people towards facial rejuvenation procedures. The trend has picked up in recent years, with facelifts being one of the top five cosmetic procedures performed in 2016. While many are comfortable with the idea of plastic surgery, the thought of having to undergo a complicated and expensive surgery can cause a lot of anxiety in those who haven’t undergone a procedure before. When you factor in the costs and the months spent healing on top of that, it’s understandable that someone might be hesitant to jump in with both feet.

What if there was a way to get the same effects of a facelift without the stress and cost of surgery? If you’re anxious about going under the knife, but still want to reverse the signs of aging, the QLift may be exactly what you’re looking for. Just like a traditional facelift, it’s designed to lift and support the droopy elements of the cheeks, face and neck. The soft tissue of the face is lifted and tightened, repositioning the skin to make you look more youthful and refreshed.

QLift is short for “quick lift,” which is a tribute to the speediness of the procedure overall. Unlike a traditional facelift, which can take up to four hours to complete, the QLift can be completed in ninety minutes to two hours. But what really makes the QLift different from a traditional facelift is how minimally invasive it is in comparison. A small incision is made in front of the ear, allowing the cheek skin to be lifted and tightened towards the jawline. A purse-string suture is then drawn through the jawline, lifting the muscle upward. The same technique is applied to the cheeks. The excess skin created by the purse-string is then elevated upward in front of the ear and removed. The results are immediate, with the cheeks and jawline nicely re-contoured, and the incisions hidden in the hairline and in front of the ear.

As mentioned before, the procedure only takes up to two hours to complete, making it appealing for the time-conscious man or woman. It also only requires local anesthesia, so if you aren’t too keen on sedation but still want to reverse the effects of aging, look no further! Patients can go home shortly after the procedure is complete, although getting a ride from a friend is still recommended. The healing process typically only takes a couple of days, allowing you to get back to your routine in no time.

Within 4 days, patients can go back to their usual routines.

It’s an extremely safe and non-invasive procedure, but as with any cosmetic procedure, there can be risks involved. Even if the risks are not as severe as a traditional facelift, it’s always important to consult with your physician about any procedure you’re considering in order to determine if it’s right for you.
