Juvederm

What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is the number one dermal filler in the United States. It's an instant cosmetic enhancement that gives you a refreshed look by smoothing wrinkles and restoring volume to reverse the signs of aging. It can also be used to enhance facial features such as your lips and cheeks for added fullness and definition with a natural look. Juvederm is made of hyaluronic acid, which is the acid that naturally exists in the human body to give skin volume and fullness.

What is Juvederm best used for?

Juvederm is best put to work on what are referred to as "static lines," meaning the lines you can see when your face is still. It also softens smile lines, restores lost fullness in your cheeks, enhances the size and shape of your lips, and restores the contour of your jaw.

How long does Juvederm last?

Currently, Juvederm is the only hyaluronic acid filler that's FDA approved to last up to one year.

How soon can I expect results with Juvederm?

Results are instant, and most people only need one treatment to achieve their desired results.

What makes Juvederm unique?

Aside from being the only hyaluronic acid filler that's FDA approved to last up to one year, Juvederm is the only dermal filler with a smooth-consistency, as opposed to the granular consistency of other fillers. Additionally, it is formulated with lidocaine, a common anesthetic, which helps make you more comfortable both during treatment and after. Juvederm is also the first hyaluronic acid facial filler that has demonstrated effectiveness in people of color. Another main advantage of Juvederm versus other semi-permanent fillers is that it is reversible.

What can I expect during a Juvederm treatment?

Your doctor will inject Juvederm directly into the skin with an ultra-fine needle. The smooth gel flows easily into the skin, providing a soft, natural look and feel. The entire treatment will take between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.
